'The Sound of Music' turns 60
The hills are (still) alive! Salzburg celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic film.
Since its premiere on 2 March 1965 in New York City, millions of "Sound of Music" fans have made the journey to the place where the story of the Trapp Family began: Salzburg. To mark the 60th birthday, the city and the region have planned a mix of exhibitions, musical performances and tours all year round in 2025. And, of course, fans can also visit all the shooting locations. Have a look at the highlights!
