A virtual tour through Tirol

After more than a year of stressful lockdowns, the prospect of being able to travel abroad again couldn’t be more thrilling. To provide a taste of what’s to come once international travel returns, we organized a virtual press trip to four regions in Tirol.

Here you will find the highlights of this tour and here is a document containing the answers to all your questions:

The Kaunertal paves the way to the mountains

Let’s take a look at sustainability and barrier-free holidays in the Kaunertal valley, which has been designated as a “CLAR” region: Clean Alpine Region Kaunertal. In addition, it is one of the most accessible regions of Europe. Senior citizens, families with small children, people with physical disabilities – everyone can explore nature and enjoy holidays without barriers. Michaela and Elena explain more about how sustainability and tourism go hand in hand in the Kauntertal and why mountains belong to everyone.

Innsbruck: a city between mountains

Innsbruck is a magnificent city offering architectural marvels and imperial sights surrounded by mountains and nature. Antonella will tell us more about why Innsbruck, the capital of the Alps, is her happy place and why Innsbruck’s food scene is worth exploring. She will be supported by Claudia, owner of the restaurant Die Wilderin, which is one of the Tirolean capital’s innovative restaurants. Claudia will also explain more about her concept “from nose to tail”.

Pitztal: Pure nature & holiday bliss

The Swiss stone pine is more than just a tree. Sometimes called "the queen of the Alps", it promotes sleep, lowers people’s heart rate, and supports relaxation. Manuela takes us to one of Austria’s mysterious stone pine forests, the “ZirbenPark” (stone pine park), and teaches us more about this fragrant tree.
