Petit Sacher: Play and Explore

The Hotel Sacher knows a thing or two about cherishing family. Young guests are treated like royalty with the Petit Sacher program.

Recasting Vienna and Salzburg in a kid-friendly light, the Petit Sacher program welcomes children with special menus, in-room amenities, and all kinds of fun activities. Exciting two-hour sightseeing tours feature games and role playing to teach young guests about famous spots throughout the city. In Vienna, adventures might lead to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Mozart House or the Imperial Palace. Kids can hop on and off the tram (with guides) for Ringstrasse tours that bring the grand boulevard’s iconic buildings to life. At the Danube Canal stop, for instance, they learn to decipher the Ring Tower’s weather beacon: 117 red, white and green lights that forecast Vienna’s weather for the day.

The Petit Sacher program begins at check-in, when children receive their own special guide book. Narrated by Teddy-bear Franz Sacher (named for the 16-year-old who created the Original Sacher-Torte in 1832), the booklet features a treasure hunt that encourages kids to explore the hotel and a special events calendar highlighting activities custom-made for them. A “Petit Sacher Fine Gourmet Passport” rewards children with Teddy-bear stamps and a little surprise for visiting Hotel Sacher eateries.

Whether at the hotel or out on the town, the whole family gets to play with the Petit Sacher program.
