A New Diva on the Danube
Often the best views are from the water. Discover for yourself on the new MS Primadonna, a spacious catamaran that’s about to set sail on the Danube River.
Beginning in March 2016, the new MS Primadonna will serve several historic ports along the Danube—including Passau, Budapest and Linz. Relax and enjoy onboard pampering on any of several 3-night to weeklong cruises. The Primadonna is the only cruise ship to offer a 7-night cruise from Vienna to the Iron Gate, one of the most impressive gorges in Europe on the border between Serbia and Romania. On special cycling cruises, guests can take off for the day to tour cities and villages, national parks, and miles of scenery along the car-free Danube Bicycle Path.
With 80 spacious (172-sq-ft) cabins, the thoughtfully designed Primadonna also provides exceptional comfort in the common areas. Possibly the best seats in the house are on the bow of the ship, where a glass wall soars 30 feet to reveal spectacular views of scenery along the river. Be sure to pass through the glass-floored lobby for fascinating glimpses of life underwater. Guests can enjoy live entertainment at the Primo Teatro; and relax and rejuvenate with spa massages, indoor and on-deck whirlpools, a sauna and Kneipp water-treading-basin.
In its menu offerings, the Primadonna ups the culinary quotient with regional specialties made with fresh, organic ingredients. Start the day with vegetable juices and organic eggs in the breakfast buffet; later, a 3-course lunch and 4-course dinner feature vegetarian options in the panoramic restaurant. In late afternoon, indulge in the traditional tea service that pairs homemade cakes and pastries with spectacular views.
By journey’s end, you may disembark a little more primadonna than when you boarded.
