Austria. Stories Untold. is designed for an in-depth exploration of the cultural and natural beauty and fascination of Austria – beyond The Sound of Music, Mozart, and the Habsburgs, specifically created for journalists and writers from United Kingdom, North America, and Australia. The press trip goes far beyond the “simple” experience of various Austrian cities and regions in a limited period of time and will make you understand the country on a deeper level.
Us Austrians, we love to celebrate life; you could say that enjoying good food, savoring good wine, honoring centuries-old traditions, and spending time in good company are essential for the Austrian psyche. The fact that we take these enjoyments so seriously is what makes Austrians such excellent hosts – and who better to show you the regions’ offerings than local hosts and protagonists whose very own stories are the “main event”, the chef, the farmer, the artist, the brewer, the winemaker, the hotelier, etc. ... in other words we take the human-interest approach to storytelling.
Participants will head off to Vienna and then explore one of the following areas according to their choice: Saalfelden Leogang, Graz, Zillertal or St. Johann in Salzburg. The trip will end at Astoria Resort Seefeld.
We would especially like to highlight our trip to Saalfelden Leogang.
In Saalfelden Leogang, the motto is "Holiday, the way I want". Around 70 km southwest of the city of Salzburg, in the most contrasting region of the Alps, holidaymakers can flexibly combine their summer holiday with great adventures, lots of enjoyment and high-quality nature experiences. In the midst of nature, there are diverse sports and spa offers to discover. Numerous hiking, biking and running trails offer a fascinating view of the mountain ranges Steinerne Meer and the Leoganger Steinberge.
One of the highlights of the trip is the Saalfelden Leogang Culinary E-Bike-Tour. Along the way you will explore numerous regional farmer’s shops, and you can reward yourself with local delicacies from the Pinzgau region.
